I’ve always had a strong bond with the Disney world; keeping to sing and dance cartoon songs since I was a child, I think that the situation escaped my control a little bit because…I actually found myself working in the place where all these dreams and magic becomes reality, Disneyland Resort Paris, within the “Show and Parade” department.
To work for Disney means to give yourself a challenge every day, bringing the magic in every single moment the guests are spending exploring this enchanted land; for me it also meant to have the chance to give life to amazing stories and characters which surprise children, remind distant memories and why not, give a sincere smile to the adults who are accompanying them.
“Miss, your resume is good but do you have experiences abroad? Do you speak english language very well? What level do you have? Certifications?”
HR People asked me that a lot of times, during telephone interviews or face-to-face, or in web form to send my resume.
Yeah sure, I’ve a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree and another one of specialization I will finished in February, 7 years working as shopassistant – hostess – educator – HRgeneralist – assistantstoremanager. But seems everybody always wants something you don’t have.. They want perfect english skills, a second language even, an excellent both professional and academic background, they want certifications, you’ve a lot of experiences and a strong personality when you’re 23 years old, 26, 28.
Here we are, after collecting all our forces it’s now time to explain you better who we are, what we’re going to do and what this blog will be 😀
We are a group of girls and guys (at the moment we’re officially 6, but we hope to expand the team) that will dive in for one year in a Disney‘s adventure, known as International Program (CRP, Cultural Representative Program).
The entrance at Magic Kingdom park.
Welcome to One Year In The Usa 😀
Some of the most famous views from the Disney parks.
You may be wondering who we are and what is the topic of this blog: well, in the upcoming weeks we will try to explain that in details, even if we anticipate something in this really short post.
We will participate in the International Program at Epcot (you can recognise it from the big sphere in the photo above), more precisely in the Italian Pavillion, located in the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.
This blog will be our Travel Diary, to leave a trace of our adventures for those who will have the patience to read it 🙂
We’ll share in the coming weeks the details about what we’ll do and how to join the program: stay tuned! 😀
P.S. to make sure you don’t miss any article, leave your e-mail in the right column to follow our blog 😉
